Message	box could also be a dog box. I thought dog engagement was only for H pattern transmissions. So sequential still uses synchros then? I always thought it was some type of different design (allowing the stick to be rowed front/back like that) - almost like an auto trans with a clutch for first. 90 Twin Turbo Track Build - jsworks.org for more info!
